Artificial Intelligence In HR

Artificial intelligence is a field of computer science that aims to solve cognitive problems commonly associated with human intelligence. In other words, AI enables machines to “think like humans,” and perform tasks such as learning, problem-solving, reasoning, and language processing. Today, AI is being driven by two fundamental technologies – machine learning and deep learning.

HR is not known for pioneering nascent technologies, Artificial Intelligence (AI) represents a terrific opportunity. The consumerization of HR technologies has brought AI to the forefront of innovation in HR. From recruitment to employee experience, and talent management, AI has the potential to transform HR.

Is HR replacing by AI?
AI will take away jobs in other industries – for example the grocery store cashier is already being replaced by the automated self-checkout kiosk. Drivers may eventually be replaced by AI driven vehicles. Fast food prep tasks may be replaced by robots.

Will AI take over HR?
Reasons AI Will Take Over HR — It Won't. ... Unlike people, however, who can grow tired or bored, or bring unconscious biases into their decisions, AI programs are fast, tireless and efficient. AI is increasingly being used to automate many HR processes, and it appears automation is going to pay off big time.

Artificial intelligence has streamlined many human resources processes. These sophisticated computer programs excel at recognizing patterns, planning and adapting in ways that mimic human thought. Unlike people, however, who can grow tired or bored, or bring unconscious biases into their decisions, AI programs are fast, tireless and efficient.

AI is increasingly being used to automate many HR processes, and it appears automation is going to pay off big time.
A study from McKinsey projects that AI will drastically change business, no matter the industry: “AI could potentially deliver additional economic output
of around $13 trillion by 2030, boosting global GDP by about 1.2 percent a year.”

With that in mind, let’s consider seven ways AI improves efficiency in HR — and one reason why it’s not going to replace humans.
It Increases Retention Rates and Productivity by Helping You Hiring More qualified candidates.
It reduces Hiring bias.
It streamlines employee boarding.
It helps employees job craft job descriptions.
It improves employee engagement and builds better relationship.
It helps you save time.
Why HR Still Needs People Despite These AI Strengths.
